Through The Window

The Sound Dental Care team has been honored to witness the resilience of those affected by the times we are currently navigating. We appreciate the trust facility administrators have placed in us. In our daily work, we are taking steps to both mitigate the spread of COVID-19 and to continue caring for the oral care needs of residents. It has been humbling to say the least.

For the past 4 months, these residents have been encouraged to stay in their rooms and refrain from being around other residents. Visits with friends and family are also very limited. That being said, serving inside a facility and witnessing things that do bring joy to the residents has been a real treat. We have seen cards, pen pal letters, cookie deliveries, bird feeders, Zoom calls and hallway bingo. Some of my favorite experiences have been seeing families participating in window visitations and watching musicians play and sing songs for residents from the parking lots.
