a. Patient Data

We handle patient data as Protected Health Information (PHI). If you are a healthcare provider using DentiApps, you may enter or upload patient information, including but not limited to:

  • Name, date of birth, and contact details
  • Treatment records and notes
  • Medical history
  • Images (e.g., intraoral photos)
  • Clinic visit records

Note: DentiApps does not use or access PHI for advertising or marketing purposes. All patient data remains under the control of the healthcare provider and is stored in accordance with HIPAA requirements.

b. Usage Data

When you use the App, we may automatically collect:

  • Device type and operating system
  • App version
  • Log data (e.g., crash reports, session duration)
  • Diagnostic and performance analytics (only if user has opted in)

c. Location Data

If enabled by the user, we may collect approximate location to verify visit or clinic details. Location data is never shared with third parties for marketing.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information collected solely for the following purposes:

  • To provide and support the DentiApps service
  • To maintain secure access to patient and clinic data
  • To enhance functionality, user experience, and performance
  • To troubleshoot bugs and improve our platform

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal or patient information for advertising purposes.

3. Data Security and HIPAA Compliance

DentiApps uses industry-standard security protocols to protect your information:

If you delete your account or request deletion of patient data, we will securely remove the data from our systems unless retention is required by law or regulation.

Healthcare providers are responsible for managing patient data in accordance with legal and professional standards.

DentiApps does not knowingly collect personal data directly from individuals under 13 years of age. All child-related patient data is entered by licensed providers and is used solely for clinical purposes.

We may use third-party services for secure data storage and analytics. All such partners are bound by strict confidentiality and data protection agreements and are HIPAA-compliant.
