Our Plan to Resume Care

Some of our facilities and patients have been asking, "When will Sound Dental Care start scheduling appointments again?"  Like everyone else, we don't know when things will return to "normal", but Washington recently released some guidance on resuming dental care.

Our work in nursing home settings may limit Sound Dental Care's ability to get back to "normal" as rapidly as traditional dental offices.  We have attended many online continuing education courses, read up on current OSHA and CDC guidelines, and followed the American Dental Association and American Dental Hygiene Association recommendations during this closure.  Last week, Governor Inslee released an Interpretive Statement related to Proclamation 20-24 and announced "Safe Start Washington," a phased approach to reopening many Washington businesses.  This phased approach allows dental operations to resume on Tuesday, May 19th.  We understand that nursing homes have a responsibility to keep their residents safe during this time.  Our team also understands that each individual nursing home must determine when they feel it is safe for SDC to enter their facilities.  We will be there for you when you are ready!  Learn more
